黄进，1958年12月生，祖籍荆州松滋，生长于湖北利川；1988年毕业于武汉大学，获法学博士学位，2011年获加拿大蒙特利尔大学名誉博士学位；曾为美国耶鲁大学法学院富布莱特学者，德国萨尔大学法学院客座教授，瑞士比较法研究所访问学者，荷兰海牙国际法学院国际法讲习班学员。

现任中国政法大学校长，国际法教授，兼任中国法学会副会长、中国人权发展基金会理事会副理事长、中国国际私法学会会长、中国国际法学会副会长、最高人民法院特邀咨询员、最高人民检察院专家咨询员。

曾任国际体育仲裁院(CAS, 2000—2014)、国际投资争议解决中心（ICSID, 2004—2016）、巴黎国际仲裁院（CAIP）、中国国际经济贸易仲裁委员会（CIETAC）、韩国商事仲裁院（KCAB）仲裁员。曾获中国法学会首届全国十大“杰出青年法学家”称号、“湖北省十大杰出青年”称号、宝钢教育奖优秀教师特等奖。1997年入选教育部首批“跨世纪优秀人才培养计划”，2004年入选国家首批“新世纪百千万人才工程国家级人选”。

 Huang Jin, born in Lichuan, Hubei Province, in December 1958. He received his doctorate in law from Wuhan University in 1988, honorary doctorate from University of Montreal, Canada; he was the Yale Law School Fulbright Scholar, visiting professor of Saarland University School of Law, and visiting scholar of Swiss Institute of Comparative Law, attendee of The Hague Academy of International Law.

Currently, he is the president of China University of Political Science and Law, professor of international law, vice chairman of China Law Society, vice chairman of China Foundation for Human Rights Development, chairman of China Society of Private International Law, vice chairman of Chinese Society of International Law, invited special consultant of the Supreme People’s Court of PRC, expert consultant of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of PRC.

He served as an arbitrator of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS, 2010-2014), the International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID, 2004-2016), the International Arbitration Chamber of Paris (CAIP), the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (KCAB). He was elected Top Ten Nationally Distinguished Young Jurists by China Law Society, the Top Ten Outstanding Young of Hubei Province, Baosteel Education Foundation for Outstanding Teachers. In 1997, he was selected by the Ministry of Education of PRC as the first batch of Cross-century Talents Training Program. In 2004, he was selected as one of the National Talents Project of the New Century.
